That doesn't tell you a lot. The 440 block was used for 396 engines in 68-69 Camaros, Novas, Chevelles, and Impalas, in both 2 and 4 bolt versions.

Beyond that, to identify the engine further, you'll need to check the stamp pad on the right front of the block, to see if there's an engine suffix code on the pad.

Could not find number listed but found 3935440 which is for a 68-69 396ci but no idea what it was used in. No idea of value, if any.
