Default Glass date codes

Hoping to understand what the date codes I have

on my glass mean. See photos....rear and side both seem to be the same with AS2 JX but the windshield is different.

Any help is appreciated! !

Steve

JX = May 1968

Your windshield has been replaced. TL = August 1974 or August 1987. The codes repeated themselves every 13 years.

Rodney

Your glass is a replacement. LOF was the original equipment manufacturer for C3 glass.

Hard to make out an obvious date code on your picture. PPG typically listed a plant code number followed by the date code in the month/year format.

I'm going to say that the windshield is from August 87.

I'm pretty sure this logo is from 1987.

As JC68 said, the letter code for the year, repeated every 13 years. I'm not really familiar with the LOF logo on your windshield, but I do know that LOF was still using the logo in your first picture as late as 1982. By 2000 (13 years after 87), LOF had switched from the shield shaped logo, to a solid square, with the LOF letters reversed out in the solid background.
