Was a '74 (orange) that got me started looking seriously at buying a Corvette of that era, having always wanted one since I was a kid too.
Yours sure looks like a good one, if it drives as good as it looks that must be a great thing!
Glad I didn't buy that first one I saw, almost $11000 asking price from a dealer. Only $3000 for the '77 I finally decided on. Just need power steering and brakes fixed, hopefully little else mechanically anyway, but I'm not worrying about the money this way. For me big money is for new cars with long warranties since I typically own them 8 years at a time.
I'm not sure what I enjoy more, driving it or simply looking at it in my garage
It rides and handles much better than I expected. The L48 isn't a rocket, but she's got a little torque. I also thought the rattles and creeks would be more prevalent but she's surprisingly tight. The seats are not the most comfortable I've sat my **** in; is this due to the design or simply age?

Ah that would be the design....the seats SUCK. I just replaced mine last fall with Fiero Seats..what a difference...
Thanks, the car is actually purple, but none of the pictures really show it right.
Enjoy the car, I have had Violet for over three years now and still get thumbs up everywhere.
The interior is almost done, just the door skins left. I have new speakers, 8" sub, a new deck and 1200 watts of amps ...ready for the nice weather.
Still thinking of lambo doors and side pipes. The wish list never ends

Very true! Well I might be your neighbor depending on how our presidential election turns out. Let's leave it at that as I don't want this to turn into a political debate
Great looking car. Welcome to the C3 Experience. I hope that you find a mini-car show every time you take it out for a ride(thumbs up, folks taking pics, and asking questions!).
