Default Air release valve?

I am stumped. I removed the old bumper cover that was cracked and falling apart and out fell a white line. The line was pressurized and has a valve dead center of the rear of the car. I tried to follow the line to see where it goes and lose it under the car. When it dropped down it did leak a bit of air real quick when it hit the bumper, but isn't leaking now. What is it for? Should I re-mount it somewhere so it isn't just hanging there? And if so, where?

It sounds like you have rear air shocks. See if there are plastic lines on the rear shocks. What you found is probably the shrader valve to fill them.

I agree...There is nothing with pressurized air under there except possibly aftermarket Air shocks

Thank you both for the response. It was helpful. The line does go to the shocks after wrapping around the frame a few times more than necessary.
