Help decoding glass t-top stamps
Can you guys help me figure out which C3 these glass T-tops came on? I don't have a pic of the stamp on the rear corners, but the stamp says
ppg safety solarcool
solid tempered coated
AS3 2698
Dot 18 M89.6
What year C3 did these come on?
Thanks

They didn't come on any year Corvette.
Original Corvette glass tops had glass made by LOF (Libby-Owens-Ford). The PPG glass tops were GM and aftermarket replacement glass tops.
Without out seeing them, I'm guessing that they're replacement tops for a 78-82. I'm not familiar with how PPG dated their glass, but I think the "2698" is the date, and probably indicates that the glass was made in either 88 or 98.

I know that original lof t tops can go fro $700 to $1000 a pair depending on the color and numbers on them. What kind of money do the ppg tops bring? Since they are not original, do they sell for more or sell for less?

If your tops are in nice shape (no cracks, chips and serious scratches), you should be able to get $600-$800 for the pair.
