Default Seat cover question

I found a good deal on some new seat covers. They are for a 70-71. Wil they work on my 75 seats? Thanks

Hi P,
Hold on!
I'm looking at the catalogue and there's a different number for 75 compared to 74….. but they look the same and the instructions to install them are the same.
I'm trying to find the difference!
Alan

After the issues I had last year with covers I went through a lot of this

The 75 also has different seat foam (one year only) than the 74 and back or the 76+

I know the 76 did away with the shoulder area bezel but I can't say with certainty what the difference was 74 to 75

Hi,
This is the difference I see in the catalogues.
I don't know what it is?
The remainder of the covers look the same.
Regards,
Alan

If you were to have a problem using them, it would likely be with the bottom cover.

The seat back foam is the same for all 70-75 seats, but the 70-74 seat bottom foam is different than the 75-78's. I'm not exactly sure what is different about the bottom cushion, but I'm assuming that it's shaped or cut a little differently.

I'd say that worse case, you might have to buy a new pair of 70-74 bottom cushion foam, at $60 each. With 40 year old seats, you may want to replace the foam anyway.

Alan, I think what you see there is just something wrapped around the seat side hinge, to protect the chrome on freshly restored seats.

The 68-74 seat side hinge is different than the 75-78, but the difference is the size of the hole that the hinge bolt goes through, not the side hinge itself. The 75-78 hinge bolts, have a larger head than the 68-74 bolts.
