This is just an informational thread. I just installed air in a 1972 Vette. After it warmed up, the system would reset and the fan would shut off and on. I am not trashing vintage air or there staff. I am not trashing taylor sparkplug wires.
But after a lot of parts replacing that the very cooperative guys at va sent me. Their engineer helped me fugure out that even though the plugs wires ran the car fine. There was a lot of EMi that was conflicting with the va system. The system would really act up at idle after the car was warmed up and not act up when you took it up to 2200 rpms or so. As a test I installed a cheap set of auto zone wires and the problem was gone. I dont know how old the taylor wires were. I might also mention the car had an msd box also. Then I installed some msd 31199 wires and I was good to go. So if your having this problem I strongly recommend that you try a new sent of wires. I have installed many vintage air systems and will continue to do so. Feel free to pm me if you have questions.

Good to know and thanks, I am putting my 2nd Vintage Air install in my 68 454 which has shielded plug wires (big block design). I do remember reading the VA instructions that said you need a capacitor on your coil to eliminate possible EMI disruption to the VA system. Looks like plug wires can be a problem too. Maybe the Taylor wires were leaking? and if so, I thought you might see that in very dark setting??

Thanks again.
Tried looking at night leakage in the wires could see nothing. It was definitely the wires. I also had installed a MSD noise filter on the box. The new wires solved everything.
