Default Composite rear spring problems

I installed a VB&P 360 composite rear spring in my 79 Corvette about 3 years ago
However when I installed it I could not get the spring bolts (on each end of the spring) to hang vertically down instead the bottom of the bolt angles towards the back of the car. The spring appears to be sitting correctly on the diff.

Have I done something wrong with the install ?

Also the car now seems to be to low at the back I screwed in the spring bolt nuts but that has not seemed to helped raise the car.

Your advice would be appreciated

I have the same spring in my 78. But I think the problem you have is the original spring is 2.5" in width and the VBandP spring is 2.25".

You need to put a spacer on each side. This will keep the bolts the correct spacing.

The original base is also for 2.5" spring.

Measure both springs and confirm.
