On the fob near the heads the number is V0208YN,

Are you site it's YN and not YM? I don't see YN in the sources I usually check.
If it is YM, it would a Flint made 327 block built on Feb. 8th of either 67 or 68, looks like for a manual transmission truck.

I agree. It's a 68 327 YM truck block. Old Flint Engine used a code of F through 67. New Flint Engine used the V beginning with 68.

looked at the number on the fob this morning the last letter is definitely N, would have added a photo but couldn,t...
Can it be decoded?

XN 1969 350 or a 1968 396
You didn't say if it was a SB or BB.

FWIW: V is the code for Flint Engine; they put out small blocks.

I did not know that they only built small blocks in Flint. Were all big blocks built in Tonawanda, New York?

I think so. I'm not aware of a second big block facility. All Corvette big blocks came from Tonawanda. Tonawanda also assembled small blocks and (early) six cylinders. The 53 Corvette sixes were from Tonawanda. None of the Tonawanda small blocks were used in Corvettes.
