Default Front plate mount

So in MN I don't need a front plate for my 71.

What has everyone done with the gapping hole between the two vertical bumper guards.

Has anyone moved the grill behind plate mount out closer to the bumper guards?

Any pics would be good.

Hi L92,
By using 4 short pieces of tubing (2") as spacers and longer screws it's a pretty easy and quick job to move the grill forward so it's even with the painted lower valance panel.
Regards,
Alan

The tubes extends from the rear of the grill:

That`s exactly what I did on my 71.... I moved it out about 4 inches. The tubing I got at Lowes by the paddle fans and lights.... lamp parts. The long stainless bolts & nuts through the tube and into the stock brackets..... brought it out flush with the valance, and more in line with the outer grills.
Second picture is a side view of the grill, looking down through the headlight door.
