that's something I need to look into. I'm going to contact a friend of mine who owns a body shop, he may know.
That question is one of the things I was wondering about... but does the under hood get that much hotter than a black car baking in the summer sun?
Also it would be petty easy to test... old emblem glued to a piece of bare aluminum... placed in the oven at your temp of choice (300°?) And see what it does, but I would recommend doing it when the wife/girlfriend/SO isn't home

I was thinking the same thing, however my body shop buddy doesn't thing the stick on will hold up. Anyone have any suggestions? Going to go with the crossed flags.
I (accidentally) bought a tube of GM CLEAR Emblem glue/adhesive 8 years ago (forgot the exact name). I removed the original adhesive backing from the emblems..............applied the glue to the back of the emblems/cleaned the excess glue off with Q-tips and a little acetone.......7 years later the glue is still completely clear-------I couldn't pop them off with a pocket knife.
Clear silicone sealer used sparing also works well.

You think that will work on polished aluminum valve covers?
I found this emblem glue at Advance auto, glued the crossed flags to the valve covers and drove over 100 miles this past week and they have stayed in place.
