Do you really fill the whole tube with grease or just where the ball joints are? And what type of grease?
Thanks in advance for you advice!

Hi sw,
It's believed that 71 cars were delivered with a red or orange plug in the clutch cross shaft threaded hole rather than a grease fitting.
The 71 CSM advises to lubricate the ball studs and seats with graphite grease.
Regards,
Alan

Thanks Alan! It does have the plug and I will lubricate as you suggested. It just seemed crazy to have to fill up the whole tube with grease. That is a lot of grease!
