Default LED tail lights/ TURNSIGNALS

I just purchased a set of LED taillights for my 82 Collector. , they light up fine but will not flash for turn signals. after installation, even the front ones wont flash. I had to enlarge the hole slightly for the mounting pin would slide all the way in. . I know on the later models you have to change the flasher/???. Looking for help ,advice whatever, before I return them for a refund. I replaced the backup lts with the LED light bulbs (very bright) $22. 00 at parts store both of mine were out anyway. now considering converting myC5 to LEDS

Seem to remember that these cars has mechanical relay for the flashers. When you switch to led you also need a different relay because they pull too low a voltage (or something like that). Check out this part.

You need to change the relay.

Try a led flasher relay. If that doesn't work you may have to wire in load resistors. I believe they are 6 ohm 50 watt

It's one OR the other.

Used these for both hazard and TS. You need a ground for the pigtail.

Should have come with the instructions ,but Yes u will need to change to the led ballast rehestor to accomodate the lower voltage the leds use. If u have a Walmart near Uncle Wal has what u need at a fair price.
