Make sure to take a few moments this weekend to remember all those who gave their lives over the past two and a half centuries so we could enjoy all the freedoms we have here in the good ole USA. Enjoy your family and friends for those who aren't able to share in that experience.

Please also remember all the ones who survived a combat zone, only to return home and end their own life because of PSTD. SO MANY of our soldiers are not counted as casualties of war because they were not killed in a battle zone. When the media states "X-number killed" they don`t include the many others who`s suffering was too great to bare after returning home.
I post this not for sympathy, but to keep their memory alive.... I miss you son.

I often think about the other soldiers who died so that I could return home alive. Hearing the door gunner in the next helicopter on a live radio screaming for God and his Momma as he dies.........
SALUTE to all of them.

Doorgunner..thanks for your service..I thank GOD I'm still here..and remember and help-pray for many who didn't die..ill struggling from those conflicts..Not all of war's casualties are but are resting in some cemetary..or even unmarked graves...Families suffer on..and Many of those who fought are still among the living..after a fashion..Jim
humorously..
ya know where the saying..'went the whole nine yards' came from..
NOT football..
Length of the belt for the 50 cal machine gun..27 feet..A welcome sound when the pickup was hot..

As a former Marine during the Cold War years I look to those before me who actually were in the **** and thank them for there sacrifice.
All who served served some made greater sacrifices and suffered greater and to those I'm indebted to.
I just got home this morning from the police job and went outside on my deck and said thanks lord.
Happy Memorial Day
Give thanks we have a great country.
