Today or tomorrow, I'll be getting a new fuel tank pick up and sending unit. I'm hoping that this will solve some of my erratic fuel gauge reading issues as I changed out/tested everything else.
I'm looking to avoid the dreaded "plastic inner liner collapse" that a few have mentioned that messes up your readings. Essentially the inner liner warps enough to interfere with full movement of the float arm having it get stuck.
Any tips on bending the arm slightly (I'm thinking a 1/4 will do the trick) so that the angle of the arm does not jack up the sending units accuracy?
I'd hate to make a modification so that the reading is way off.
