Default A bitter sweet day

I sold the '74 and now on it's way to the new owner who lives in Lauffen Germany. It is almost a complete circle, the Vette was bought new through the USAF Base Exchange in Germany and was shipped there from the factory and drove the road for a couple of years there.
He paid in cash and in person while in Lexington on business,so there were no Paypal or check scams.
I may put a couple items on the for sale blog in a couple of days....

That's a beautiful car........no wonder it's bitter-sweet. Keep us updated on the car's arrival in Germany............and on your future plans

In my kit car circles we would always say the happiest two days of a kit car, the day you buy it and the day you sell it, but I could see this one as not being like that, sweet car, are you done with vettes or going into something else?
I am still kind of deer in headlights that the car started in Germany and ends there...

Lauffen is not too far from where I live.
Maybe I will see the car at local events.
And I´ll try to convince the new owner to put the right hub caps on it. :-D

The exhaust will have to be changed back to the factory style he said.
