thanks that will save me some work, I will take a look
If you buy these....just be aware that often times when these side console strips are cut....they are often times NOT cut correctly.
SO...do not just go in and use the holes for the screws and poke them out and come to find that when you did that...the console strips go in fine so you can use the screws...but do not tuck up under your shifter plate and hand brake cover correctly.
Just about EVERY set of side console strips I get I have to do some modifying to to get them just right.
wow, I found what I want.$180 bucks .I will talk to the local upholstry guy.i heard that florida has a sale on alligator hides.
$180.00....'sounds' about right.....the console strips are long and that is a lot of leather....plus the labor to install it to the console strip. Does not surprise me at all.
I actually made my own... I really hated the old dingy carpet fiberboard crap that was in there. Plus, one side had broken into two pieces... So, I removed both sides and believe it or not, traced them on to the reverse sides of some paneling pieces I had, and used some foam flooring underlayment padding and 3M High Bond spray adhesive:
I carefully traced and cut black leather-like material I bought at a local fabric store and upholstered / glued it over the padded panels:
They fit exact because I used the originals as a pattern. The finished job looks very professional IMHO...but by no means is it "factory":
The paneling is actually stronger than the fiberboard, and I used newer screws to attach them in the same places they mounted originally...
...and like I said in my thread " Vette On A Budget"...

Yes they do look nice... but to be quite honest for others who may see this. To be technically correct...The screw in the side of this console strip is not where the factory used a screw.
That's where/how the P.O. had mounted them....I really should have checked the A.I.M. - but considering it's a 1973 and the P.O. installed a 1978 interior - (probably the same donor car the front clip came from), the whole interior is wrong anyway...LOL

MIKE....
You did not state that this console is a conversion when you posted the photos. SO.... I can understand that the previous owner did what they needed to do to get the job done.
Hopefully I did not come across as being picky...I just try to let people knwo who do not know stuff what is correct and not correct. Most people need pictures to do stuff...I am not judging your car at all.
