Can vintage air system be removed? I am looking at cars and will be keeping it at my house in FL and it will need A/C but I don't want to reduce the value of NM car that didn't come with A/C originally. However, as long as I own, and who knows how long that will be, I'd like to have A/C. I know most of the components mount under the dash, so what does entail a hole in the firewall? Does it use an existing hole? If not can it be repaired to turn the car back to it's original state?
Thanks because looking at c2/c3 cars I can't seem to find any i like that have A/C. If I end up with a NOM car I won't really care.
Leave the vintage air, a #s only guy will only look at a stock one
Theres plenty of buyers who will appreciate the addition of vintage ac
In the real world if ones driving it it wont matter;bet value will be close if not the same, these cars are old and who wants a 50 yr old ac system I dont
its like turning down a stockish appearing hard running 383 over an almost 50 yr old motor with orig internals old seals etc.
To answer your question. YES...the Vintage Air can be removed if needed...BUT it would be smart to keep ALL of the parts that were removed in order to install the Vintage Air system. Some parts would have to be replaced if you are really wanting to be picky.
The holes in the firewall can be fixed..and just as long as the installed stops and understand that the system may comeback out...they should be able to do some of the takes where it can be easily reversed.
