Default Houston shop recommendations.

I need a shop in the Houston area that I can trust with my car. I've googled and yelped and found a lot of options but I don't trust these as much as I trust the advice from this forum. Anyone have a shop in Houston that they would recommend. I'd prefer one inside the loop, I live right in the middle of town, but I'm willing to drive out just a bit for the right service provider. Looking for someone right now to install my power steering, vintage air, and track down the vacuum leak in my headlight "on position" system.

Thanks in advance for your help!
Kevin

If you don't mind a trip down to Santa Fe, my friend has a shop, has fit at least a dozen Vintage Air systems(he has three cars of his own with Vintage Air). He specializes in restoring/hot rodding cars from the 50s-60s, including engine/suspension swaps and custom fabrication, but can also handle any type mechanical work. His shop is on his property, on a large fenced lot behind his home in a safe neighborhood. Call Neil at Whitewall Garage 409-795-7932, or his business partner Brian 832-421-7087.

Richard,
I live in Santa Fe and am curious about where he is located. Please send a PM if you would prefer.
Thanks.

If you don't mind coming north to Spring, Bob's Auto Express does a lot of classic car work, always has a couple C2's and C3's in the shop, does a lot of restomods, puts vintage air in all the time. They have done most of the work on my car, and am very happy with their work. I go there because Bob is as honest and trustworthy as they come.
