Hood Locked!
Hi Folks,
New member here! I bought a 73 a few months ago, and it has been a nice daily driver. Has a few small problems, but overall ok. I am working on a stalling/restarting issue, but that is for another day. Because now I can't get under the hood! I pull on the hood latch release and it just won't open. Need to get in there to do anything else. Please advise!

My 73 locked like that once and I think one side was released and the other wasn`t I was able to squeeze my hand in there and grab the cable and pull it. Now I have a small hole drilled so that I can slip a hooked piece of wire in there to pull it if it ever happens again

Many many threads on this subject, do a search and you will see.
BTW had the same problem on my '73 but only after I had made some adjustments and failed to make sure the latches were centered before closing the hood. Had to loosen the bolts at the front of the hood in the wheel well area and it popped free.
