Default 78' Air Conditioning

I know it could be many things but just wondering where to start with air con that just blows warm air. I just got the vette in May so have not really tried until it got really hot recently.

Take it to a mechanic with a/c certification and have the Freon levels checked. That is the starting point. They can also put in an additive that show any leaks you may have. Good luck and stay cool!

I own drive a '78..so I ave been thru the learning curve on the vacuum system and what is supposed to happen and when it doesn't why not..

THIS link to the vacuum system diagram may help you and the modern A/C techs discern just what the problem is..simple R12 charge up or maybe some adjustments or other issues..jim

starting questions..mileage on your '78, WHAT DOES work with the HVAC console mounted controls-temp selection/?Blower, heater, vent?

Yeah I'm thinking that's the best way to go before I do something I'll regret. Thanks.
