YES...I have seen this NUMEROUS times...and YES...I know how to fix this.
Please let us know what year model you have any time you post a question in the future..it is helpful due to there are differences from 1968 to 1982 when repairs are concerned.
As for the repair...it all depends on how far you want to take it.... and what it looks like in the separation where the steel support beam and body panel have separated.
Some people will pump some glue in the gap and clamp it and let it ride. I myself...doing this stuff for a living can not do that...thus my process is a bit more involved....once again...depending on how it looks.
SO it depends on what you want.

This should help you too.. You didn't say what year it was and some years had rivets others didn't... So if you don't have rivets holding the header then skip the part about how to remove them.
