I don't know if the bl-7000slx will work on a c3, but have you considered the bl-5000slx model?
I know several people here, myself included, are using it with our c3s.

I wish I'd bought the 5000 at this point so I could use it with my wife's Outback and my Ridgeline.
You are correct about the height. With my 3500 if I forget to remove the rubber blocks they catch and I drag the them out of the drive way.

You could always make plywood plates that you could place in front of all four tires, drive onto those, and that wiuld give you additional height between the frame and the lift. Not beautiful but easy, cheap and safe. Plus you dont need to cut up your blocks.
