I'm about to buy a O2 sensor for my vette I took the smog off and need a hot sensor i guess? What kind do y'all recommend? And please include a link.
When a Corvette has had the catalytic's removed....YES...I have used the three wire heated O2 sensors for a Corvette and ran a FUSED 12 volt source, a ground and then connected the last wire to the current wire so it will heat up and not rely on exhaust to do it.
I believe the O2 sensor was for a 1992 ZR-1 if my memory serves me correctly.
I wrote that I have USED this type of O2 sensor....SO ...YES...it will work but you have to wire it in. Because your O2 sensor is only a ONE WIRE sensor...and the heated O2 is a three wire.
That is who makes them for GM....so I have been told by customer who works for BOSCH.
