Sensor behind the starter issues
im trying to restore my dads 82 corvette i came across some ki d of sensor that sits just above the last 2 spark plugs on the passenger side of the car. this looks like a coolant temp sensor but it has 2 prongs on it. can anyone tell me what sensor this is and what wires go to it so i can finish up the engine bay thank you all so much

I have a 81 but I cant imagine the 82 is much different. The sensor controls the aux cooling fan. One pole is a ground that should go to the firewall the other goes to the aux cooling fan. I believe the fan wont run until the sensor sees 238 deg f and off at around 210.
