I'd guess many cars which happened to have PS sold for $2500 more on average. Doubt anyone decided to pay $2500 more just because it had power steering. I generally take the base estimate from Hagerty, never really considered the add ons.

I would disagree with taking the base value for a car with options . I would definitely pay more for a car with power options like steering and brakes because if the car doesn't have it and I buy it I will have to install them . Don't like working when I drive my car except for shifting. $2500. is unrealistic for power steering though unless you have to pay someone to install it for you. Maybe that's how they are looking at it .

I'd pay more for a car with options but wouldn't pay $2500 for power steering. Just saying the base value is still an average, some fully loaded cars may sell for base value or less depending on a number of factors, location, condition, originality, etc. I'd personally factor in how much I wanted the option, how hard to upgrade, assuming I'm not looking for 100% original, whether I'd be inclined to do the work.
