Default Replace front lamp harness or not

I am trying to decide if I should replace my front lamp wiring harness on my 79. No issues with the harness but it is 37 years old and not the best looking but no cuts etc in it. But don't want to open a can of worms since everything works. Looking for opinions.

Thanks,
Joey

Joey, if not done already recently, replace the headlights with some top shelf halogens..perhaps also replace the fuse for the lighting..IF the car hasn't been subjected to floods or fire and all is working..no point in fixing something that isn't broken....Jim

My way of thinking is don't ever replace good GM parts with aftermarket parts unless you absolutely have to or can't get NOS parts anymore. I would leave it alone and spend the money on something else that you really need.

Ditto. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. There are plenty of C3s on the road today with their original harnesses.

I'm with the if it's not broken leave it . If harness just ugly can easily be refreshed with tape and coverings, either split loom or the like . Use some dielectric grease at connections.
