Driving down the road i hear a clicking sound coming from the drivers side rear wheel, when i apply the brakes the clicking stops. I toke off the wheel and gave it a visual, found nothing obvious. 1979 L82, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Did you check the parking brake assembly? When one of my springs broke, it made a clicking sound. Had to drill out the rivets.....fun!

Yeah, pull the e-brake handle and see if the noise goes away.
Word of caution, if the e-brake is used infrequently it may not release from the drum. That's a whole other issue.
Sway the car back and forth, does the sound change? Does the noise slow as the car does?
Does it click when you rotate the wheel by hand (jacked, of course).
I had a problem with a clicking noise that ended up being the brake pads were moving forward and hitting the caliper when the car was rolling and would stop clicking when the brakes were applied. New brake pads solved the problem.
I will check the e brake, i have disc brakes in the back so no drum issues. Also i noticed the the pads do move around a little, they are secured with the bin and cotter pin but a little sloppy. I will report my findings, Thanks for the advice

True, but your e-brake uses little brake shoes in the rear rotor drums.
I had a click in my rear wheel that drove me nuts looking for it. It would only happen above 10mph. No matter what I checked I couldn't find anything. Until I looked at the back of the wheel and noticed something had been rubbing in the rim. Turns out a clip for the parking brake cable had moved just enough to rub but not enough to look out of place
