Default L88 features

Hi all,

I've got a blank canvas project to work with ATM.. A rust free 68 427 390 car with a rebuilt driveline, but otherwise it was largely a heavily cannibalised hacked about basket case.

Pondering whether to build an l88 tribute...

What are the main aesthetic features i would need to include, beyond l88 hood, radio delete panel, air cleaner?

Many thanks

Dave

Google L-88 > Images and you are likely to kick all kinds of pics. In addition, all of the Corvette history coffee table books will show the L-88 cars. There are additional photo references.

The 68 and 69 AIMs have pages dealing with the L-88 option package as installed at St. Louis.

Food for Thought: There are a lot of L-88 clones. Consider a ZL-1 clone.

Dave it would depend on how close to an original L88 you would want to get and what you want to spend

Thanks chaps - been reviewing pics and struggling to find clarity on one point...

With radio delete - I assume that new kick panels were installed, with no speaker grill?

If so... Any suggestions where I might source them?

Hi Dave,
I believe you'll find that the kick panels are the same…. just no speakers were installed in the hinge pillar openings on a car ordered without the optional radio.
There was no radio 'delete' because the radio was an option.
Regards,
Alan
