Default Thompkins Tile '69 COPO

Anyone ever run onto a site that tells what size tire/wheel combination is on this very famous car? Or anyone take an educated guess? Would like brand and size. I love this look. Thank you!

the wheels look like Minilites probably made in England and made of Magnesium, no L-88 flares might mean they are in the 15x8" or 15x8.5"

Minilites for sure.
Not sure if anyone is currently making them anymore.

Edit: upon looking at your 8 spoke pics maybe they are a different brand. Never noticed how many spokes real Minilites had.

I believe that Team III wheels, a/k/a E-T Wheels, makes a Minilite "look-alike".

they aren't Minilites, too many spokes.I believe they are Western Wheels,15x8.5 probably. same size front and back with bigger tires on the rear.

Heres the wheel..wrong size...http://www.ebay.com/itm/WESTERN-WHEE...-/252096029511

From the number of spokes and the looks of the outer rim, I think that they are an old set of Western Wheels "Superlite's".

A lot of different companies have made knock offs of Minilite wheels. The Trans-Am Camaro we raced in the early 80's had Superlight wheels (different than Western's Superlite's) on it. They looked a lot like Minilites, but only had 7 spokes.

From pictures I've seen of the car, when Rick Thompkins raced it, it appeared to have 5 spoke wheels on it, either American Torque Thrust or 200-S wheels?

Below is an old ad for the Western Superlite wheel, along with a picture of the Western wheel.

The rear tires are a Hoosier TDS, for vintage racing. Unmistakable tread pattern althou American Racer (McCreary) makes a similar asphalt racing tire.

The biggest size they offer is a 275/60R15 which is about right judging from the pics.

I can't tell the front, all the pics I have found of the car aren't really good enough to tell for sure, but the size is much smallet than the rear... maybe something like a 245/60R15
