So I'm sorting out some ugly engine bay wiring, and this one has me stumped. There's a black with pink stripe 18awg wire that Bubba has spliced 3, yes 3 more 18awg wires to. One of them goes to the TCS Sol relay, one connects to a wire that goes to the trans kick down connector, and the last one has a large black male connector but I have no idea where the female end is, almost positive she's no longer on the car.
Now the main wire goes down through the bulkhead and fusebox, but it just ends a few inches later. So what I really want to know is, is this wire original, if so what did it go to? I can't find it on my Service manuals diagrams. So any insight would be greatly appreciated. Here are some pictures of Bubbas fine work.

Hi,
There's a black/pink stripe at the alternator.
That's a long way from where the wire in your photo appears to be.
What on the car isn't working?
Regards,
Alan
Thanks for the reply Alan, so far as I've noticed all the electrics on the car work, but I have only driven it aound the block a few times.
I just disconnected the fusebox from the bulkhead connector to get a better look and I think I may have solved this mystery. Here's the pictures:
So it seems this wire is indeed a work of Bubba. I'm guessing at one point it wrapped around to the front of the fusebox and plugged in there. Well now I know my TCS and trans kickdown aren't working, Im going to get rid of the TCS anyway but I'll rewire this mess for the kickdown.
Hi T,
Bubba is often most proud of his electrical expertise!!!!!
He's still puzzled though as to why when he's driving there's sometimes smoke leaking out of his wiring!

Alan

I wired up a harness for my speakers since I didn't feel like spending $30 for a couple wires and connectors. Am I a bubba?

Well, This is how I look at it. If anyone modified their car from the original factory specifications could be considered a BUBBA. But, most of us here has made some good Bubba changes.

I would say that it depends on how you do it. Did you do it like Bubba, or did you do it proper? I've had to do a lot of wiring mods to mine, I added MSD and FAST. But, it's all done in a professional manner.
