Default manual antenna

this plus the mast is all I have for the mount. There are just a couple of washer located under the fender. What am I missing that allows you to tighten the nut and keep the mast still? A picture of what goes under the fender would be great.
Cant find a supplier that has a complete kit. Car is 79.

Hi mr,
This is the fixed mast and base on an earlier car (71)… I don't know if or how it might apply to what you're seeing.
Regards,
Alan

Thanks Alan for your reply. Your picture looks similar to the one on my 65 goat. Can you tell me what supports the antenna under the fender? The nut u see in my picture will not tighten down at all.

Hi M,
Remember this is early 70s when there was only the fixed length antenna.
Regards,
Alan

Is all that under the fender available for my 79? All I have now is a couple of flat washers.

Hi mr,
I don't know?
Did all cars in 79 have power antennas originally?
If so the motor, and mount for that power antenna was very different than the fixed mast antenna mount in my photos.
Perhaps someone tried to put the fixed mast on when the original power antenna failed?
I don't know enough about later cars.
Sorry!
Regards,
Alan

Not to hijack, just seeing there is expertise here. I would to to replace the fixed mast on my 75 to an old fashioned manual that one can slide up and down. My car sits on a lift and I need o be able to lower the antenna, but don't want to install a power version.

Anyone know of an antenna that will fit the 75?
