I need to replace the front rotors on the Corvette. You can clearly side one side is thicker than the other and they didn't wear evening.

My question is which do I buy? RockAuto has several brands and I am not sure which one to get. I don't want slotted, but I don't want to buy a cheap brand either.

Here is my search:
http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/c...hub,rotor,1896

Thank you.

I would get the Centric premium rotors they are pretty decent.

you can buy on line at half the cost.
I have used "Brakemotive" products in the past, about 3 years ago
I installed on my suburban rotors slotted and vented your choice, and pads.
great product no complaints, no problems. cheaper than a brake job.

Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

Does anyone know the brands BrakeBest, EBC, Carquest Wearever?

RockAuto is charging $15 for shipping, so they are only 3-5 cheaper. These are the brands of my local stores.

Thanks.

Or the ACDELCO ? The Dura International are marked as the favorites on the site.

Just trying to educate myself.

The two plates are different thicknesses and they wore uneven from teh bad calipers.

Plus the cost to have them turned, if possible, is not far off than buying new ones. So why not?

Runout can be an issue on new rotors?
