Default Wire location HELP on 1970

I am trying to sort out the firewall wire mess and have some questions I do have several wireing diagrams although I am not very good at reading them.
In this picture this is the braided tan wire coming from the firewall side of the fuse block.I think it goes to the starter selnoid?

Not quite sure where the spliced in red connectpr goes??
Next is large red with what looks like fuseable links

Thanks
Wes

I believe the harness in the second picture is for the horn relay and ammeter gauge. The red wire connects to the black 2 gauge wire at the starter solenoid and comes up through the connector in your picture then to the horn relay buss. And the wire with the fuseable link goes to the ammeter gauge.

Hi Wes,
Here are those wires on my 71.
I'm not sure how similar they are to what you're seeing.
Regards,
Alan

The yellow wire on the positive side of the coil ,do you know if it is a resister type wire?one wire should come from the ignition and the other from the starter selnoid if I am reading the schematic correctly?
Thanks
Wes

Hi Wes,
On my 71 it's the wire that shares the connector with the sheathed wire that is the resistor wire and has the warning 'do not cut' stamped along it's length.
Regards,
Alan
