Default Coffee Cup Actuator

1969 corvette L46

I have my original coffee cup wsw door actuator that quit working years ago.

Should I trash it? Or is it worth saving? Is it rebuildable?

Thanks for your help.

Hi b,
I believe that the wiper door actuator is rebuildable, and even if you want to purchase a new one you should probably save the original.
I 'think' there are some very subtle configuration differences between an original and a reproduction that would make yours attractive to someone concerned with originality.
There 'might' even be a couple versions of the original which might make yours desirable.
Regards,
Alan

There's an individual in Texas that rebuilds them and has them re-plated.
I think they're referred to as coffee 'can'.

Absolutely save it! or sell it, but don't throw it away.
I bought a beat up one to have rebuilt. Good cores can be found for $30 give or take.

The originals have a flat edge around the back and the repros edge is rounded.
