So here is my project, 1972 C3 auto/air/T-tops. Standard car with a little 350 but runs. I think most of what is under the hood is still factory. It needs some work, so here is the start.
1. Exhaust- leak on both sides, so I started with right side manifold and see that it has a heat riser- is it really needed?
2. Left side needs gaskets as well.
Since this isn't my first rodeo, many chevys before this one- I need a good source for factory replacement parts.
The system that is on the car needs to be replaced, thinking maybe some side pipes???

if you will be doing driving in cold weather heat riser is nice to help warm up engine if not make sure to put spacer in place of heat riser as 3 studs should be longer on that side.one best source for parts is right here on forum parts section
Enjoy your new purchase.

All things being equal Wilcox is my go to parts supplier for the simple reason they actively participate in this forum answering questions. Customer service like that is hard to beat.
One of the first things I'd look at is the oil line for the mechanical oil pressure gauge. If it's the original, it will be brittle and very susceptible to breaking.
Welcome, nice looking C3!
I agree with the others, Wilcox not just a supplier, but a great contributor to this site also.
Side pipes?..some like, some not so much, personal choice thing.
Enjoy..make it your own.
Thanks, the car is going to be a handful. I working on the exhaust, it sounded like crap. I called the guys at ZIP since they are in my neck of the woods. I do have a few questions on this factory exhaust but I will put it in the right area.
I had to laugh, some people are saying your going to get a lot of noise from the car due to age and its a vette. I don't hear any of it because my motorhome makes so much noise that the vette is nothing.
As others mentioned Willcox; I've posted parts questions and usually get an answer within a couple of hours. They also ship USPS, which is much lower than UPS.
