I just got a new project and I'm not a mechanic. it sat for a long time I was able to get it started when I picked it up now it won't start the battery died and I used a jump box it cranks but won't start not sure if I flooded it or gummed up the carb. the primary jets work not sure on secondaries. any ideas?
Remove all the spark plugs and clean them with carburetor cleaner assuming they dont look like they need replacing.
Does the choke close fully after stepping on the gas pedal fully to the floor and releasing it
After you clean/replace the plugs, step on the gas twice to close the choke and try starting it.
I'm assuming you have a 1978
