Default Willcox Corvette

Apparently I am the exception to the rule when it comes to having a positive experience with this company......ordered a part before Thanksgiving - took almost 3 weeks to receive (China built new window motor.....not even what I wanted) and when it got it installed it didn't work

Yes - I ran all the voltage tests on all the wires......

I get no response from Willcox so I ordered a part from another company - shows up in 4 days - installed and life is good!

Now - I wonder if I will ever hear from Willcox Corvette about some resolution? This has been by far the worst corvette part buying experience.....I hope I am the rare exception, but honestly I find it mind numbing that they have yet to respond.....maybe the forum lurker will respond?

I am very surprised to read this. Although I haven't purchased a whole of product from them, what I have has always been quite well. I am sure Ernie if he sees this will respond. I am sure he will. But 3 weeks to is a bit without explanation. Good luckm

Email me this weekend at service@willcoxcorvette.com. Please include a phone number where I can call you at on Monday.

Jason-

I'll have you fixed first thing Monday morning. I'll send you a return mailing label for the defective power window motor. I'm not sure why we are not getting your emails, but I did get the one to the service email address last night and one to the support address earlier around 2.30 pm yesterday.

Ernie

Default !969 Coupe Door Panel Felts attachment Kit or Staples?

I saw the following in a Willcox comment to a thread regarding door panel window felts attachment,
What year is the car? 1969-1982
felts had clips made into them that fit into oval holes, then they were screw to the doorpanel with a screw set. I make both kits for the different year cars but without a year I can't post you links. Your info says 1992??

I'm replacing my felts on my 1969 coupe, both LH outer and RH outer. I purchased the felts from Zip vz Ebay. Is the best method to attach them with staples. say a 9/16" Hammer Tacker T50 x 14mm H ? The old felts I'm replaceing are attached with staples. Will a heavy duty T50 Arrow staple gun work ok??

To your question: I am now replacing the felts on the original stainless trim piece which I removed from both doors. There are several good ways to re-attach the felt from what I read...
Staples
Small Flathead Screws
Small aluminum Rivets
Small Nylon Rivets

The original door trim piece with worn felt and frayed rubber overlap trim....

New felts with stainless steel backing...since my car is a restomod, original style fasteners are not necessary. (Now to order the rubber overlap trim that hides the doorpanel gap)
