Steering shaft alignment
How much misalignment is allowable between the shaft (column) and the steering box shaft using a rag joint ?

Hi Rey,
Are you using the original steering column?
The AIM indicates that the the splined end of the shaft should be slid into the upper end of the rag joint BEFORE any of the column mounting bolts at the firewall or cowl mounted support bracket are tightened.
Can you still do that?
