Thinking about 69 Coupe purchase
I just meant it was the base 350 I thought I read somewhere that L 48 was the base possibly on a newer year like 75 through 79 or something like that it's a numbers matching motor and the seller is asking 11,000 for it I know you've heard this before that it just needs paint but it actually does just need paint on the body it's in etch primer[ just needs priming and blocking and it's ready to paint.
it's code 972 can am white very original as far as I can tell 92 k original miles I don't have any pics at the moment but will upload later.
he's pretty firm but I think I can get it for 10 K going to need tires mufflers it has a brand-new front end and suspension and a rebuilt motor.
it has a beautiful dash pad door panels and seats are very good but they are black Velore which I don't think his original possibly on a Southwest car I don't know I just seen that a lot out here .
QUOTE=Easy Mike;1593826848]The base engine for the 69s was the 300hp 350. No L-48.
What is the seller asking? Any pics?
$11K is not unreasonable.

Good luck.
If it was a solid painted car I would say its a steal, but paint can get expensive fast. Make sure you do a very through inspection of the birdcage and check for rust. Would expect a high milage '69 to be around $15-16K so just start subtracting the costs you will have from that and see if it still makes sense. My $0.02
I think $11K is a bit steep for a car that needs paint. But, the condition of the car and its operating systems might justify that price. Rust and condition of operating systems are the main concerns for a 40 year-old vehicle purchase.
