Default New Front-end A-arm hardware ?

I'm in the process of replacing the bushings and ball-joints on the A-arms and was wondering what the proper thing to do in terms of the hardware for the A-arms (it does not need to be an exact restoration).

Should I buy a front-end A-arm mount kit for around $50, or go to a hardware store and get grade 8 replacements, or just clean-up and repaint the existing bolts and hardware ? I read that the press bolts which hold the A-arm shafts should be replaced and the lock washers.

What do most people do ?

thanks,
Richard

When I did mine I cleaned and used originals except for the splined bolts.

When I re did my frt suspension I purchased all new hardware. My personal feeling was since it was all apart that was the time to do it, I don't believe any of it was not re-usable but I figured then I atleast new everything was new and it wouldn't be done again in my lifetime
