Default Some general advice on a C3 purchase

Hi everyone,

I am venturing out of the C4 world (where I feel comfortable) to my first C3

Tomorrow I will be looking at a 1979 auto, pretty stock red vette. Can I have some general advice on where to look and what to look for that will be trouble spots with this model?

As always, thanks to all the people and the help I have gotten on this forum!

Chris

Well if you read the C3 forum at all, you know that rust on the frame and birdcage is pretty much a deal killer. Almost anything else can be fixed.

Happy hunting.

Hi Chris,
If you have the time read through the comments that folks have added over the years too..
There's additional good information contained in many of them.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

I have been driving C3s for ~25 years. Feel free to ask general questions. But I am not a mechanical whiz.
