Default Differential Installation

Need some quick help. Had my diff rebuilt and looking at putting it back together. However I didn't take enough initial pictures and I'm not sure how it goes back together. Can someone with an 80, 81, or 82 post a picture of it assembled? Specifically how the fiberglass leafspring is held in. I feel like I'm missing pieces... and the plate on the bottom doesn't seem like it should fit the way it does. Like I'm missing rubber pieces or something.

Thanks

Hm, those are the kind of pictures I'm looking for, but they're kind of small. Do you have a bigger version? It looks like you have something between that triangular plate and the rubber pieces. Also hard to tell which way you have the triangular piece rotated (if it cups towards the spring or away).

Also, that triangular piece, if it lays like that, the center bolt lays in an odd way such that it tends to slide off of where it's supposed to rest. All seems a bit odd.

I think you issue might be the metal plate that is used on the back side of the spring for a stock spring. This is not used on the VBP spring. In the pictures provided by others some show the stock spring with that plate in place, and others show the VBP spring and only the two rear bolts showing. The top pic from Alan71 is a VBP spring. the bottom pic is not.
Your picture of what you have shows the rubber spacer, but you also have the silver plate in place. Take the plate out and it should bolt up.
Remember not to torque the bolts until the car is sitting on the ground, not when the wheels are hanging.
