Default Please Help To Identify This Part

When I removed my original carpeting from my ’70, I found a few parts, rivets, etc. underneath (probably not unusual). Here are a couple photos of one that I don’t recognize. Can anyone tell me if they know where this part attaches (or if it’s really a Vette part)? Thanks in advance.

Joe

Looks like a bracket that would hold a gauge in place.

I should have mentioned that the part was found behind the passenger seat.

Could be wrong but I believe this is it, located just above the seat belt stitching in the pic.

Hi Joe,
I certainly don't recognize the part as anything I've seen on my 71.
I'm afraid it's not the part indicated in the photo in John's link….I believe that's part of the water 'diverter' in the door jamb.
So I'm ?????
Regards
Alan

You are correct Alan.

When I first saw that pic it reminded me of a clip that holds a metal cover over the harness that runs to the rear of the car.

Oh boy... I think that may have been from my 65. Sorry OP.
