Default Question on 2 connections

1969 corvette L46 with AC

I am trying to put my interior center dash panel back together.

There is one electrical connector that I don't know where it goes..

Also I don't know how to interface to a thin copper tab in the back of the water temp gage. Looks like it comes off of a condenser.

I'm attaching photos of these 2 situations.

Thanks for your help.. Much appreciated.

Hi Ballen,

I just did my center console, nothing went together right! When I did it I removed the whole cluster from the center console so I didn't have to fool with those wires. Sorry I can't help because mine is a 71 and it doesn't look like that. I'm from Palm Bay too, I've never seen a 69 around here, do you take her out much?

Hi B,
I call the connector in the first photo a 'flag' or 'pennant' connector.
The copper 'tab' gets folded over the male end go the connector before the female connector is slipped in place.
Here's another example of it's use on the turn signal flasher connection.
I believe the double yellow/double blue connector is for the solenoid mounted on the back of the tachometer case.
Regards,
Alan

Here you see just the end of the pennant. The rest is concealed by the female connector.

The solenoid on the tachometer case. The connector is shown in the 71 AIM on UPC 12, Sheet B5. Perhaps it's in a similar location on your 69 AIM.
