Really enjoying the photos being shared in this post. That being said , not a fan of the GT headlight modifications. To me the Stingray body is perfect in its design and is hard to improve on. The fuel tank filler on the Motion cars is very trick. Is this something that is an available aftermarket part?
They are available out there, but will run you around $300. I found one downstairs at my Dad's garage, still debating if I want to shine it up and put it on my 68 racer.
The orange car originally posted by Alan was featured in issue 66 of Corvette Magazine and if you go on the magazine's website the article is there with pictures.
The book Motion Performance Tales of a Muscle Car Builder by Martyn Schorr seems to be sold out and it looks like copies are going for about $200 on Amazon.
The pictures in the book do show that the stripes varied.
CARS Magazine was popular up in the north east. As far as I can remember Mr Schorr was always pretty kind to the Motion cars.
I had breakfast with Marty last year very nice guy but doesn't get along with Rosen anymore

I am sempatico with you on the z car headlights...yuck...well perhaps yuck is too harsh but they are not my favorite,
Bruno told me years ago that the z headlight thing was to try to make the c3 look more like the 4RE dino which if one looks at a stock 68 c3 coupe you can see the dinoish styling in the rear especially,
I too love the flip top so called by some le mans gas cap...motion made it famous but didnt invent it...we see these on many cars like ac cobras,
A couple places take the ac cobra cap and use adaotors to go on the c3s...some look better than others and some are really the gas cap some like the way i run mine attach to the stock lid poser style...mine was made and sold to me by a member on here who really races, livrpool...a while back a thread started about these caps and mentioned many old cars like mopars ran flip caps that could be used

Don't loose too much patina but running it is a must imho

When I visited Joel Rosen and his wife she said they pop riveted this e caps on because they didn't want to drop the tank.

When livrpool first sent me mine it was a replace the stock door bolt on idea
I mounted it several different ways playing around never having to drop the tank or resorting to rivets
