Hey guys, first post here and I'm looking for help. I have to replace my headlight bulbs and I'm not too sure what too look for, if the entire light has to come out or if i can just replace the bulb inside the light. Thanks in advance.
Raise the headlights up, Then remove the bezel (4 screws, 2 top , two side). From there you can remove the retaining ring for each lamp that needs replacing. once the retaining ring has been removed you can remove the bulb.

You may be thinking about later model stuff that has a bulb "inside" a housing. C3, they are one piece old school stuff. And be careful- that retainer ring around the bulb can be sharp.
What you need are 5 3/4" round H5006 sealed beam bulbs, for the outer (low beam) lamps, and 5 3/4" round H5001 sealed beam bulbs for the inner high beams.
The 82 Corvette was the last production car to use the 4 round bulb system, so they are getting harder to find, but you should still be able to pick them up in any auto parts store. Around here, Walmart still carries them.
Hi Bob,
Once you raise the headlights and remove the 4 small screws that hold the headlight bezel in place you'll see ring and screws that A81 described.
Pretty straight forward then.
Regards,
Alan
Upper screw is for AIMING the headlight, lower screw is one of those that holds the ring in place.
