Need help finding original paperwork for my 72 LT1
I have a numbers matching 1972 LT1 that I restored. I have been unable to locate the tank sticker, window sticker and the pop.
I tried finding information thru NCRS, but not much luck.
I do know that the car was sold by Nankivell Chevrolet, dealer code 373, zone 24 in Indianapolis, Ind.
Not positive who was the original owner, but Bruce Gelb had owned it at one time.
He passed away and the car was sold in an estate sale and I bought it from Tom Sammut in Novi Mi.
The car is a Warbonnet Yellow Coupe.
Hopefully someone on here might know about the car.
Thanks in advance.

so when you did the restoration you removed the tank and there were no signs of a tank sticker?
That is correct. The car was full of hickory nuts from squirrels, so who knows what happened.
The car was totally disassembled and not sign of a sticker anywhere.
Not sure if someone had dropped the tank and removed the sticker at some time.
Thanks,
Hi Jim,
Since the car has been in Michigan and Indiana have you considered placing an ad in the NCRS chapter publications of those 2 chapters?
Someone may remember or know of the car that reads those publications but not the Driveline? (Have you had an ad in the Driveline?)
Regards,
Alan
Also, have you contacted Drew Papsun? He has been collecting LT-! information for many, many years and might have info on your car. Even if he doesn't he'd be happy to add your car to his data.

Thanks Alan, It is always nice to read your comments. I have had a add in Driveline. It has been some time now, so I should do it again.
I will also look to placing ads in the chapter publications.
How do I get in touch with Drew Papsun?
I would be interested in giving him the data to add to his collection.
This is a very rare car as they only made about 1700 in 1972.
Thanks again Alan.
Jim
Hi Jim,
Drew is a VERY knowledgeable guy and a good person too!
If you google 'Drew Papsun Corvette' you'll see some contact information for him including a phone number.
Good Luck!

Alan

Good luck with your search. Sometimes you can run into a brick wall. I'm the 2nd owner of my '72 and have had it since 1974. I have most of the paper work but am missing the window sticker, so last year I found and contacted the parents of the girl I bought it from. They said she wouldn't be interested in any contact with me and hung up.

Thanks for the information.
I have contacted Hubler who bought Nankivell to see if they had any old records from their purchase.
They told me no.
It would be awsome to fine the original dealer information on all of the special cars that Nankivell had sold in the past.
