Anybody who install the borgeson conversion in a 68-73 vette have to relocate the brake lines? Also did you have to remove the steering column? I was reading the directions and it said to do these mods. Thanks! I want to install this but I want to make sure I have the skill set. I have no idea how to relocate the brake lines. Was there anything else that you had to get besides whats in the kit? I have power steering already.

I moved the brake proportioning valve just a little, I don't think I even drilled a different hole for the mounting bolt I think I just bent it over a little. It shouldn't be like making new lines or anything, I'll look tomorrow. Don't remove the column. Just bump it in a couple inches with a dead blow hammer (slip joint). You have a floor jack, concrete, and tools?

I don't remember any difficult issues putting it in my 72. The power steering hoses seemed a bit too short so it took several times fiddling with them to get them in.

My 69 with A/C, P/S, P/B did not require any brake line modification. The only problem I had was that I cannot use the driver front chrome shield over the spark plugs. T

I'm completing an install in my '73 L48 right now. I did not have to move any of the brake lines or proportioning valve, although it comes very close to them. I took out the steering column just to make it easier to do and because I wanted to repaint it anyway - it only takes 30 minutes to pull.
I've got everything installed now except for the steering column. Waiting on some warmer temps so I can get back into the garage to finish.

I purchased the kit from Summit Racing, but they sent the wrong hoses - they cross shipped the correct ones out as soon as I called them. They price matched the kit too - can't beat that.

Ditto. I just loosed the hold down bolt and rotated it slightly. I also took the column out just because I thought it easier to do right.

My car was manual and I already had a used PS pump from another project so I sourced the individual parts (box, rag joint, hoses, PS bracket) from a couple of ebay vendors.

I had to bend the brake line in my '68. I may have also moved the block; can't remember. No need to remove the column. Just a couple of taps with a rubber mallet. Go slow with that because I heard that the column doesn't come back out as easily as it goes in. No experience with that though.
