Thanks. It may look cheesy. Not sure though. I don't drive her at night much. Was just wondering what people have done and how it looks in any photos. Nice bike by the way. Looks great. Fun ride

Some people dont like it, i still see it at shows, i like it, i really liked led over neon, i can leave the purple led on for a week and the battery doesnt care.
FWIW, check the DMV for your state. A friend who drives a 2001 left a cruise night (Massachusetts) and forgot to turn off the lights he had. (they were blue). Didnt get but 1/4 mile from the site when he was pulled over. A 2nd cop car pulled in front. They blasted him for having the lights on and threatened to have his car impounded. All he did was hit the off button and they let him go.

Some colors are a real nono, like blue, flashing lights of any color forget it,
Purple is a hearse color but im okay there,
They dont like red up front or white out back,
If they can see the bulb the light source they dont like that only the glow can show,
Cycles get away with far more than cars might be a shared mindset a highway patrol told me at a bike fest, he said he would much rather the cycle be seen with what ever lights it has and not get spattered on the highway than to worry if the lights are okay to have.
Of course if leo pull you over for blue color or something they dont like due to laws they will give you the full 2 dollars worth then decide case by case if a citation is warranted,
A little too 1980's "street rod-ish" for my taste, but if you like it, go for it!
I was going to say more late '90's fast and furious-ish but go for it, it's your car.
The other day I was letting my car warm up to go to work with the parking lights on. I went into the house to get something and when I came out my license plate light was lighting up the underside of my car as I don't have the spare tire carrier installed. I thought to myself, I've got to fix that, I look like a ricer.

Thanks everyone for the tips and opinions. I'll check the dmv in Michigan. Just a white light glow may be good but for $60 it's a throw away if I don't like it. Thanks again.
Darn snow and salt came back today :/ pushed the pull out a ways back
Illegal while operating the vehicle means...illegal while operating the vehicle. This is not a problem with the police, they're just doing the job that we all pay them to do. It was a problem created by the owner not turning the lights off before driving (or so it was said ).
Lots of folks do this. Is it a big deal? No. Is it a "distraction" for other drivers? Yes. Do "distractions" cause accidents? Yes. Like cell phones, texting, eating, watching a show on Ipad, yada, yada,....
Anyone can downplay doing this 'stuff' but occasionally someone gets injured or even killed because of some "minor" nuance of the law. Well, it isn't a problem with the laws, folks. "Occasionally" we should accept responsibility for the dumb stuff we do...instead of blaming the folks that are paid to keep us safe {in spite of ourselves}.

^^I AGREE^^
Personally, lights under vehicles, rubber band tires on huge wheels, are equivalent to wearing a Mr T starter kit..I'd be embarrassed to be seen driving it.
To each their own..until/unless it adversely affects me.

What do you mean by this? the guy is 74 years old and he forgot. Not some punk that is taunting the police. The point of the post was to check with the state to see what is allowable. The post said nothing about the cops turning their heads and not do their job.
I just checked with Canton Mi police department. They said it is illegal to drive with ground effect lighting on. So... time to fine a new project.... Come on spring,17 days, and wash that salt off the road.
I forgot to mention before that at shows and cruises i see cars with lighting like the undercar that i would have never guessed the owner would have liked something like that, cars ranging from high dollar restro mods to bone stock ish classics, you can turn the silly lights off i do, it could be worse,
like That played out assinine calvin peeing window decal, but i saw the very worse the other day for the first time on a c3 for sale, the fake ******* hanging off the back....nothing could ever be more tacky and tasteless all wrapoed up together...ugh, hopefully the new owner will toss that before driving home.

^^I agree^^
To add to the tacky/tasteless..The political bumper stickers that slam some political figure.. F**K (insert favorite political figure here).
I can just see parents trying to explain to junior (who just started to read) what does F**K mean Daddy?
I don't care how old someone is...when they get caught doing something illegal, most folks try to shift blame, make excuses, whatever. If you have these lights on during a show (which is absolutely fine with me), you have to know that they are ON when you get in the car to leave. If you leave them on once you start to drive out of the show lot [just to be , you know] and just forget to turn them off, it's still your mistake. Just own up to it and get over it. Throwing blame at the cops is just doing "the little two-step" to shift blame. Tacky and bad for this country.
Why do you think it irks me when i see a post on here someone boasting they got off easy because the LEO liked their vette...7t1, should leo's who like vettes cut the onwers any slack?
Being from Tennessee, I would suggest that there are lots of folks driving that provide "opportunity" for our "boys/girls in blue" to Go Fishin'. You're never the ONLY one that was doing something opposed to statutes; but, you were the 'fish' that got caught. So be it.
